Different types of bracelets are measured in different ways.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to measure your wrist to find the right size for your new silver bracelet!
Measure the circumference of your wrist
Chain bracelets are measured in length. To find the right length for you, measure the circumference of your wrist using a measuring tape or a piece of string. Add 1–2 cm for a comfortable fit. For example, if your wrist measures 15 cm, a 17 cm bracelet will be a good choice.
Keep in mind that the thickness of the chain matters. A chunkier bracelet may require about 1 cm extra length.
Measure the width of your hand
Bangles and solid bracelets without an opening are measured by their diameter. The inside of the bracelet is measured diagonally.
This can be a bit trickier to measure at home. To get an idea if the bracelet will fit, measure the diameter across the back of your hand. Remember to tuck in your thumb, as that’s how you naturally slide on the bracelet.
Cuff bracelets are often adjustable
A cuff bracelet has an opening and is often slightly adjustable in size.
You can adjust a rigid silver bracelet by gently pressing the ends together with your palm. Always slide the bracelet on and off from the side of your wrist to keep its shape.
Over time, your cuff bracelet will mold to your wrist and fit perfectly!
